These guys know how to make burgers, fries, and wings. The service is amazing and the food delectable. I have never tastes fries better than the ones here. They are simply amazing! The burgers are also made fresh to your order (duh) and the bread they come with is absolutely delicious. You have the option to sit inside or outside and if you're outside the level of service is the same, unlike other places where if you sit outside they forget about you. Ultimately, I recommend this place.

I came here with some friends. I'd been by several times but never stopped in. We chose to sit outside on the swing seats since the weather was nice and breezy. Our server was extremely attentive and anticipated things in advance like water and extra napkins. My friend and I split the Black and Tan Onion Rings and they are top notch! The flavor and crispness was spot on and came with a horseradish dipping sauce. I'm not one for horseradish but it was yummy! I also has a chicken sandwich which can be boring but it was also very good. I visited the ladies room, which is a little dated but they had a working toilet and toilet paper so I guess that's sufficient. I may go as far as 4.5 stars on this one!

Went there on a thursday, that's their "Irish Night" listened to an excellent band, very talented musicians, who perform there every week. The only downside to me is the food. I ordered corned beef and cabbage, my wife ordered the irish stew. neither of the dishes were what I would consider good. My advice would be to go there for the music and drinking, but to eat before you go

Though posted as Danny's Sly Fox, Danny passed away many years ago so the sign now read Barrett's Sly Fox, but everybody knows it simply as "Sly Fox." So many of the Irish Bars or Pubs have sort of lost their old Irish Pub atmosphere either by remodeling or by conversion to what is more of being just another run of the mill type of sports bar. Though there are plenty of flat screens with sports being shown at Sly Fox, it has somehow managed to preserve its original old Irish Pub atmosphere, which to me is just great. The old woodwork, fire place, beamed ceiling and everything one might think of as being "Old Irish Pub" remains intact, and better yet, so does the warmth and friendly personal attention of the staff. In a way, Sly Fox is a neighborhood bar, but not necessarily of year around neighbors. Located on Galt Ocean Mile, it is the home bar of many of the seasonals, hence you meet people from all over the world, most of them living in one of the massive nearby condo buildings. The food quality is good, the menu extensive and there are all kinds of daily, nightly or weekly specials. The good thing is that the food is real, meaning that it is the real thing. So, when they say beer battered fish, it really is beer battered, and if they say some is of a certain type, it really is of that type. Not only that but the fact that they don't skimp on their portions means you'll always leave satisfied. I most recently had their beer batter tilapia sandwich which came with a full size filet of tilapia covering most of the plate and was easily able to stack my sandwich bun with tilapia three layers thick. As a plus, they have plenty of free parking along with a large outside dining patio. Be sure to read the specials board when you enter and also request a menu to review. Oddly, a lot of people never think to ask for a menu.

Ducked in to meet a client who uses this place as his second office and I was very excited to do so as this was my first visit. I pride myself on having first hand knowledge of the eating and drinking establishments in my area of operations and was a little embarrassed that I hadn't set foot in here yet considering the joint has been around, in the same building and various iterations, for 20+ years. Feels and looks authentic. Dark wood, nooks, crannies, and appropriate decor (see photos). Aged aesthetic without feeling stale or forced or dirty. Excellent presence and personality. Interesting entrance archway. Archaic cash registers, I can help with a Point of Sale System by the way... I had already eaten on this visit, thus I did not try the food, but I naturally did some menu recon. The fare looks establishment appropriate, and appears to be priced appropriately. I LOVE that the menu has large print. Large black print on a white background, with choices, but not too many options. This makes it easy to read in low light situations for older eyes. Robert the bartender started as a cook / chef and has been bar-tending for the last 10 years of his 20 year tenure. Now that is longevity! Good stuff. More to come once I try the food. Cabeza OUT!

We went twice within 24 hours while visiting the fine city of Fort Lauderdale. Why, do you ask? The g'damn buffalo wings!! Big flavorful wings, 18 for $12! I know you can always find some place that does 50 cent wings but they're always creepy tiny wings. Sly Fox's wings are awesome. We had the Guinness burger (they marinate the onions in Guinness) then had the cannoli cake for dessert. Nice atmosphere, cozy and homey. The outdoor seating area is accommodating to those who don't care for cigarette smoke (it's a smoking establishment) plus the outdoor tables are weird - they're like rocking tables on casters and tracks. It was weird but unique. The staff was very welcoming and informative. I didn't interact with the bartender but the beers came to our table lickety split. I will be making a point to go back on our next trip to FL.

Thought it is just an Irish bar, didn't expect much for the food, but OMG, the osso buco (not in the menu) was excellent ! Very nice surprise!

I went to this place with 2 friends of mine. The place has good ambiance and feels like a real irish pub. A good crowd in the place for a tuesday night. They had live music and it was decent. We ordered Potato skins for an appetizer and I thought they were just frozen and reheated. We ordered wings and they were very good. They served the wings with sour cream instead of blue cheese sauce. I was going to ask the waitress why sour cream except she seemed like the only one working except for the bartenders. It took incredibly long for the food to arrive. I am not sure if that is like that always or they were short-handed that day or it was an off day for them. I had a burger for dinner and it was very good. I would normally give this place 3 stars because the service was awful but the ambiance in this place was great. We stayed after dinner for a few drinks and met some really great people there. I would go back.

If you like authentic Irish Pubs with good food and decent drink prices, you will like Sly Fox. Great place to go to watch football on Sundays and extremely laid place for a nice pint in the summer. Great, cozy atmosphere with good people, good food an great drinks! If you are around, definitely worth a stop in.

Nice neighborhood bar. Ice cold Guiness and the food is much much better than you might expect from bar food. The manager Robert and all the bartenders know almost everyone by name. Lots of TVs for sports and right off the beach. Starting in January '10 they're revamping the menu and will be adding live music. If you're looking for a good, friendly neighborhood Irish bar stop in. The food is great and they give away a bicycle every Monday night. I don't really know why
